Eastern White Pine: a classic furniture wood

Eastern White Pine: White pine is soft textured, easy to work with, pale white to yellow wood. It does age to a golden colour. Planes, cuts and sands easily, although the grain pattern can be quite strong at times and want to tearout if you are not watching the direction when routing. Grain pattern is visible and easy to stain or clear coat, but sand to 200 grit if using a dark stain or the scratch lines will show. All wood is 100% clear of knots or defects on one face and usually both faces.
