Yellow Birch Lumber

Birch  (Paper or Yellow Birch) The wood of paper and yellow birch are mostly identical in appearance. Both are of medium density, creamy white/yellow sapwood to reddy brown heart, although the yellow birch has a higher quantity of heart wood. Often, today, the pure heart stock is used as a cherry substitute because, unlike cherry it's colour will not alter significantly with exposure to sunlight, .... and its cheaper. Wood is typically easy to sand, machine and finish.
