Basswood Carving Planks
for crafts,carving,folkart & 2D chip carving

Basswood is a soft textured white wood (occasional brown or grey streaks), with very little grain. Basswood carving planks are ideally suited for relief carving, chip carving, woodburning and as a base wood for painted folk art projects. Basswood has no sap problems when painting,so presents an ideal raw material for all your painted folkart and veneered woodworking projects. Basswood carving planks also make a great intarsia wood when you need something that will not yellow. All lengths +/-  1/4".
