Pernambuco:
(Guilandina echinata)
This is a Brazilian wood. Known mostly as the wood of choice for high end violin bows, but its dramatic "odd" colour, a metal copper shade, makes it a wonderful wood for small inlays for cutting boards, wooden pens and box corners.
I haven't worked a lot with this wood, but I did inlay it in a cutting board with no difficulty in planing. It added a great contrasting strip with the hard maple.
